The team had been playing around with the idea of the crystalline form, and new age concepts of crystal healing, and a pyramid based structure with a translucent fabric skin was they landed. Adding color changing LED’s to the base of the stretched fabric walls gave the structure an element of ephemera and movement. All the other design elements from the floor to the table, linens to plate-ware were white to allow for the lighting to determine the color and mood. Without exception, attendees of the event immediately gravitated to the glowing structure experiencing the installation as a sanctuary of sorts.
